Bellevue East waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Omaha North Vikings. The Chieftains have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bellevue East took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13.

Grace Rued paced Bellevue East's offense, picking up nine kills. Rued got some help from Riley Homan and her 16 assists. Monica Joseph controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Bellevue East now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Omaha North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

Bellevue East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Grand Island on the 12th. As for Omaha North, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Omaha Central on the 12th.
