Softball Recap: Palm Bay Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palm Bay can now relate to. They lost 24-9 to the Titusville Terriers on Monday. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Palm Bay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Hewitt, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Hannah Crespo was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Palm Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Titusville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-14 record this season.

Palm Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Titusville, they will square off against Astronaut at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Terriers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the War Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
