Softball Recap: Oak Hill Takes a Loss

Oak Hill was the 15-2 winner over Mountain Valley when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell 11-8 to the Falcons on Wednesday.

Oak Hill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Whitaker, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Oak Hill now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mountain Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will host Lewiston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mountain Valley, they will be playing at home against Mount Abram at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons are facing the Roadrunners at the right time seeing as the Roadrunners are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
