Basketball Recap: Chittenango Comes Up Short

Chittenango was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Cazenovia Lakers 74-41. The Bears lost against the Lakers in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 50-47 score last time.

Chittenango's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cazenovia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chittenango will be home for the holidays to greet Solvay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cazenovia will take on Homer in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lakers will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
