Soccer Game Preview: Syracuse vs. Lone Peak

The Syracuse Titans will face off against the Lone Peak Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Syracuse comes in on three and Lone Peak on 11.

Syracuse is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Davis, sneaking past 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Syracuse as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Indy Heap and Taylee Hughes scored both of Syracuse's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

Meanwhile, Lone Peak faced Mountain Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Knights' defense stepped up to hand the Sentinels a 4-0 shutout. Lone Peak might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by three goals or more this season.

Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Lone Peak, their win bumped their record up to 18-1-1.

Syracuse suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Lone Peak in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
