Preview: Solon Comets vs. North Royalton Bears
After three games on the road, Solon is heading back home. They will take on the North Royalton Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Solon is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Royalton in Ohio (Solon is ranked 22nd, while North Royalton is ranked 455th).
Last Sunday, Solon slipped by Archbishop Alter 43-42. The victory was just what Solon needed coming off of a 69-27 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, North Royalton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Beaumont School 34-30.
Solon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for North Royalton, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-11.
Everything came up roses for Solon against North Royalton in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 81-36 win. Does Solon have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Royalton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
