Softball Recap: New London Takes a Loss

New London lost against Wheeler back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Whalers came up short against the Lions, falling 16-4.

New London's loss dropped their record down to 0-15-1. As for Wheeler, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

New London will head out to take on Harvard Ellis Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.18 runs per game on average), something the Whalers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wheeler, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Montville at 10:00 a.m. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
