Basketball Game Preview: Meadowbrook Colts vs. Caldwell Redskins

The Meadowbrook Colts will venture away from home to square off against the Caldwell Redskins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meadowbrook has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 20.

Meadowbrook is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 56-47 to Maysville on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Caldwell didn't have too much trouble with Shadyside on Monday as they won 49-35. Given the Redskins' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Tigers are ranked 382nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Caldwell is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Meadowbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Meadowbrook couldn't quite get it done against Caldwell in their previous meeting back in January of 2019 as they fell 46-35. Can the Colts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
