Roanoke Rapids won the last time they faced Bunn and things went their way on Monday too. The Yellowjackets beat the Wildcats by a goal, winning 3-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Roanoke Rapids' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 218th, while Bunn are ranked 459th).

Esteven Cordon and Juan Solis scored all three of Roanoke Rapids' goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Roanoke Rapids has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those eight matches. As for Bunn, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Coincidentally, Roanoke Rapids and Bunn will both be playing Nash Central the next time they take the pitch. The Yellowjackets will head out to face the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Wildcats will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
