Softball Recap: Summit Academy Comes Up Short

Summit Academy and Juab squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Summit Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wasps, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Summit Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Sylvia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Another was Kaylee Luttio, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases.

Summit Academy is on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16. As for Juab, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-14 record this season.

Summit Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Juab, they will challenge Union at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Wasps' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
