Basketball Recap: Lake City Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Lake City had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Hartsville Red Foxes 52-30 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 45-18 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lake City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Robinson a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Jayda Burgess, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Lake City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-26 loss against South Florence on the 4th. As for Hartsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 57-17 win against Lamar on the 9th.
