Baseball Recap: Landon Extends Home Winning Streak to 14

There's no place like home for Landon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Episcopal Maroon on Monday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Maroon recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Landon let Zach Burstein and Manny Monsalve run wild. Burstein went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Monsalve went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. Burstein has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Fred Malek, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Landon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Episcopal only posted an OBP of .286.

Landon pushed their record up to 19-7 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Episcopal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Landon nor Episcopal have any future games scheduled.
