Central Heights posted their biggest victory since November 26, 2024 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Newton Eagles 62-19. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 341st, while the Eagles are ranked 1322nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central Heights is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Newton, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
