Basketball Recap: Boyd Christian Find Success

Boyd Christian's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Marion County Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Broncos also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.

Boyd Christian found their leader in sophomore Brooke Kesey, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Cydney Perry, who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals.

Boyd Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Marion County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Boyd Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-49 defeat against Franklin Christian Academy on the 14th. Marion County will take on Van Buren County in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Van Buren County will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Marion County surely won't give up without a fight.
