Lipscomb Academy came tearing into Monday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Father Ryan Irish 9-2. Considering the Mustangs have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lipscomb Academy pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Father Ryan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10-1 record this season.

Lipscomb Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-4 victory against Overton on the 29th. As for Father Ryan, they will challenge Girls Prep at 3:00 p.m. on the 7th.
