Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Meade). They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 69-25 win over the Ridgeview Global Studies Academy Explorers . With that victory, the Miners brought their scoring average up to 52.2 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Meade to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cayden Clark, who posted 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Omari Russell, who had 13 points.

Clark wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Fort Meade was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ridgeview Global Studies Academy only posted one assist.

Despite the loss, Ridgeview Global Studies Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jacob Andre put up ten points and three steals. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for Andre.

Fort Meade's record is now 3-5. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Meade won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lake Placid at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Meade is facing Lake Placid at the right time seeing as Lake Placid is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, they will square off against All Saints' Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
