West Oso was the 5-0 winner over Raymondville when they last played one another back in February of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The West Oso Bears fell just short of the Raymondville Bearkats by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

West Oso saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jashaud Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Damon Nash also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

West Oso's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Raymondville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

West Oso didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Miller on the 7th. As for Raymondville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against King on the 6th.
