Basketball Recap: Alak Skates Past Kali with Ease

With a playoff win on the line, Alak rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 74-46 win over the Kali Wolverines. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Alak was led to victory by Paul Okpeaha and Korey Ekak. Okpeaha posted 27 points, while Ekak had 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Okpeaha has scored at least a third of Alak's points. Kaden Ahmaogak was another key player, putting up nine points.

Alak moved to 6-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Kali, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Alak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-29 loss against Nuiqsut Trapper on the 28th. Kali does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
