Football Recap: Chisholm Takes a Loss

If Chisholm was feeling good fresh off their 41-0 takedown of Newkirk two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Longhorns lost 29-8 to the Oklahoma Christian Saints on Friday. The Longhorns have struggled against the Saints recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oklahoma Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Creighton Allen, who threw for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Hudson Able was another key player, picking up 67 receiving yards and two scores.

Chisholm's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Oklahoma Christian, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Chisholm will venture away from home to take on Mount St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns will need to watch out since the Rockets have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Oklahoma Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crooked Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints will be up against the Ruf-Nex's rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
