Basketball Recap: New Caney Comes Up Short

New Caney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 96-45 loss at the hands of the College Park Cavaliers. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-19.

College Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden Buckmon, who went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points along with seven assists and four steals. Buckmon is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ian Inman, who went 6 of 12 to rack up 17 points and six boards.

New Caney's loss dropped their record down to 7-24. As for College Park, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-9.

As of now, neither New Caney nor College Park have any future games scheduled.
