Football Recap: Destin Sharks vs. Booker T. Washington Wildcats
A victory for Destin just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were beaten by the Booker T. Washington Wildcats 49-8. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kyler Battle had an outrageously good game for Booker T. Washington as he rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Battle's longest rush was for an incredible 97 yards. Another player making a difference was Trae Townsend, who threw for 106 yards and a touchdown on only five passes.
Destin's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Booker T. Washington, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.
Destin will take on Carrollwood Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Carrollwood Day's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four matches. Booker T. Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
