Basketball Game Preview: Oneida Nation Thunderhawks vs. Gillett Tigers

The Oneida Nation Thunderhawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Gillett Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Oneida Nation is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Oneida Nation is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since February 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Suring by a score of 55-52.

Meanwhile, Gillett ended up a good deal behind Crivitz on Tuesday and lost 74-55. The Tigers have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Oneida Nation's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Gillett, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-1.

Oneida Nation was able to grind out a solid victory over Gillett when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 47-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oneida Nation since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
