Football Game Preview: Stamford Bulldogs vs. Hamilton Bulldogs

The Stamford Bulldogs will square off against the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated after 14-games, but that won't be the case come Thursday.

Stamford is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Post 48-26. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by 22 points or more this season.

Stamford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Christian Duran, who threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 11-for-11 passing, and also rushed for 39 yards and one touchdown. Those 227 passing yards gave Duran a new career-high. Kaston Vega was another key rusher, rushing for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Duran was just one part of a punishing run game: Stamford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in 14 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Hamilton won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Axtell 15-14.
