Football Recap: Bend Takes a Loss

Bend extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-4. They lost 42-20 to the Ridgeview Ravens. If the Lava Bears were looking for revenge after losing 24-21 to the Ravens when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Ridgeview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The result was nothing new for the Ravens, who have now won six contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Ryden Nakamura produced another solid performance rushing for 145 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending one pass. Gage Hobbs was another key player, throwing for 218 yards and one touchdown while completing 78.9% of his passes.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bend will square off against rival Redmond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ridgeview is set to challenge their familiar foe Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Ravens 10.7, the Cougars 7.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
