Baseball Game Preview: Coventry Comets vs. Streetsboro Rockets

Coventry hasn't had much luck against Streetsboro recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Comets will square off against the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Coventry has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Coventry is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Field, falling 14-4.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Streetsboro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over Springfield on Wednesday. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Streetsboro's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Coventry, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
