Preview: Diamond Wildcats vs. Bronaugh Wildcats
The Diamond Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Bronaugh Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Wednesday, Diamond suffered a tough 63-42 loss at the hands of Lighthouse Christian. Diamond has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, even though Montrose scored an imposing 59 points on Saturday, Bronaugh still came out on top. Bronaugh walked away with a 66-59 win over Montrose.
Bronaugh got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Strauss Banes out in front who scored 25 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The game was Banes' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Tucker Duncan was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with 6 assists.
Diamond's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bronaugh, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Diamond strolled past Bronaugh in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 58-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Diamond since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
