Beaver Local waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Minerva Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Beaver Local never let Minerva on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-15.

Lily Schrieber paced Beaver Local's offense, picking up 12 kills. Schrieber got some help from Bria Boyd and her 36 assists. Karsyn Bowyer and Addie Thurik kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Beaver Local's victory bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Minerva, with the loss, they broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 14-10.

Beaver Local wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against River View on the 23rd. Minerva does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
