Keith Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6-for-9 to rack up 14 points and five rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Anthony Sanchez, who posted nine points and three steals.
Pleasant Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Red Bluff only posted four assists.
Meanwhile, Foothill earned a 62-49 victory over Enterprise on Tuesday.
Foothill's win came from a few key players Pleasant Valley will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cade Memeo, who went 5-for-12 en route to 13 points. Matt Poulsen was another key player, going 5-for-10 on his way to 17 points and five boards.
Pleasant Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.1 points over those games. As for Foothill, their win bumped their record up to 18-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Pleasant Valley has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Foothill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Pleasant Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Foothill in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory.
