Softball Recap: Center Cougars vs. Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos
Sadly, Center is still looking for their first win of the season after 11 games. They suffered a rough 21-8 defeat at the hands of the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos on Thursday. One positive for Center, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
For Twelve Bridges' part, Heidi Quinn made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Quinn has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Quinn was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, Twelve Bridges got a massive performance out of Camdyn Story, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Bella LePori was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
