Basketball Recap: Sherwood Victorious

Richard Montgomery came into Friday's match looking for another win against Sherwood, but Adrianna Nnabue wouldn't allow it. The Sherwood Warriors managed a 39-34 win over the Richard Montgomery Rockets on Friday thanks in part to Nnabue, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Those 15 points gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Graham, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season.

The victory got Sherwood back to even at 3-3. As for Richard Montgomery, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Sherwood will venture away from home to take on St. Charles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Richard Montgomery, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Springbrook on January 7, 2025.
