Basketball Recap: Prairie Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

If Potter-Dix wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Prairie, they should've done a better job of containing Hunter Johnson. The Prairie Mustangs took down the Potter-Dix Coyotes 56-40 on Tuesday thanks in part to Johnson, who went 10 for 15 on his way to 26 points. Those 26 points gave him a new career-high.

Potter-Dix lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Landon Gasseling, who went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points. Kolby Labeau was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards.

The win made it two in a row for Prairie and bumps their season record up to 6-8. As for Potter-Dix, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Prairie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-46 defeat against Otis on the 31st. Potter-Dix has also already played their next contest, a 59-45 victory against Crawford on the 1st.
