Jones came out on top against Lake View on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Eagles put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 10-1 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Anna Black was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Black was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

In other batting news, Amanda Lopez was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Delaney Treccia, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Jones was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .405 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.

Jones' victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games. As for Lake View, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Jones beat the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 later that day.
