It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Biggersville had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Falkner Eagles a 4-0 shutout. Biggersville is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 19 straight.
Drew Rowsey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Rowsey has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Rowsey was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
