Basketball Recap: Ariadni Michael's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lamar over Oak Ridge

Lamar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Ridge War Eagles.

Lamar lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ariadni Michael, who posted 13 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Kell, who earned four points and five boards.

Oak Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adalynn Luna, who shot 75% from the field to rack up 12 points. Ani Ramsey also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oak Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

Lamar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-34 win against Tomball Memorial on the 20th. As for Oak Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-22 victory against Kingwood Park on the 20th.
