It's playoff time, and Greenwood had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy Warriors with a sharp 17-0 win on Thursday. The Rangers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Addison Arredondo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Farrah Fortner was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Mae Savage was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Greenwood and bumps their season record up to 17-16-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Greenwood beat the Warriors by a score of 16-0 on Friday.
