Basketball Recap: Silex Takes a Loss

Silex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by the Van-Far Indians 62-24. The game marked the Owls' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Pacey Reading continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Van-Far, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Reading has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bryce Reading, who earned 14 points and seven rebounds.

Silex's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Van-Far, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Silex does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Van-Far, they will take on Veritas Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Veritas Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.1 points per game this season.
