Softball Game Preview: West Side Roughriders vs. St. Vincent Academy

The West Side Roughriders will head out to challenge St. Vincent Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. West Side has given up an average of 16.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Side is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Irvington, falling 24-11.

Meanwhile, St. Vincent Academy got the win against Arts on Wednesday by a conclusive 30-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Vincent Academy.

West Side's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for St. Vincent Academy, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

West Side might still be hurting after the 21-11 defeat they got from St. Vincent Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2017. Can the Roughriders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
