Corning and Oroville are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2019, but not for long. The Cardinals will venture away from home to face off against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oroville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Corning, who comes in off a win.

Corning took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Las Plumas. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won seven in a row.

The final score came out to 26-24, 23-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Oroville's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Gridley, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since August 28th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-16, 25-13.

Corning's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Oroville, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
