Assumption entered their tilt with Father Ryan on Saturday with 14 consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with 15. They came out on top against the Irish by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Assumption took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12.

Julia Lee paced Assumption's offense, picking up nine kills. Lee were helped by Jillian Bohannnon and Addison Hurley, who contributed 16 assists each. Finally, Lee was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Assumption's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Father Ryan, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Assumption wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lovett on the 23rd. As for Father Ryan, they will face off against Goodpasture Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
