Lutheran South faced Mehlville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Lancers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers. Winning may never get old, but the Lancers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Sam Dicken paced Lutheran South's offense, picking up 23 kills. Dicken got some help from Will Krauss and his 43 assists. Finally, Oliver Trinca and Kyle Buscher kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Lutheran South's victory bumped their record up to 21-7-2. As for Mehlville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-16 record this season.

Lutheran South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Lindbergh on the 14th. Mehlville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
