Mount View typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Midland Trail proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Golden Knights 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on three straight.

Midland Trail had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-13, 21-19.

Mount View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Hannah Morgan, who had 20 digs and three assists. Zoey Rose was another key player, getting 11 digs and four aces.

Midland Trail's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Mount View, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.
