St. Monica had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Magnolia Science Academy Pirates on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Mariners as they're now sitting on 14 straight.

Matthew Martinez was the driving force of St. Monica's attack as he scored both of St. Monica's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

St. Monica's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Magnolia Science Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Looking ahead, St. Monica will square off against Chadwick at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Chadwick will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something St. Monica surely won't give up without a fight. Magnolia Science Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
