Sunnyslope skates past Boulder Creek with ease

The Sunnyslope Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Boulder Creek 78-19 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Sunnyslope sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Sunnyslope was led to victory by Teagan McIlroy and Maggie Luba. McIlroy dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds, while Luba scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. McIlroy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shannon McIlroy, who scored nine points along with seven steals and five rebounds.

Sunnyslope pushed their record up to 14-7 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Boulder Creek, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Sunnyslope will be playing in front of their home fans against O'Connor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. O'Connor is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Boulder Creek, they will head out on the road to take on Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Ridge and Boulder Creek are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
