Walton turns things around after tough road loss

There's no place like home for the Walton Braves, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Baker out 47-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Walton has posted yet this season.

Among those leading the charge was Maleaha Johnson, who scored 18 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Isabella Holden was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.

Walton pushed their record up to 8-11 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walton will face off against Holmes County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baker, they will head out on the road to square off against Destin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
