Soccer Recap: Avon Takes a Loss

Avon came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-0 to the Zionsville Eagles. Avon haven't had much luck with Zionsville recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Avon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Zionsville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Avon will challenge rival Fishers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Zionsville is set to square off against their familiar foe Hamilton Southeastern at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Zionsville 0.3, Hamilton Southeastern 0.2) so any goals scored will be well earned.
