Lincoln-Way East put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Maine South Hawks by a score of 8-4. With that victory, the Griffins brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Tyler Osmanski looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Evan Riiff, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Safarik, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Lincoln-Way East's record is now 5-0. As for Maine South, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Lincoln-Way East will face off against Troy at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maine South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prospect at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
