Basketball Recap: Newport Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Newport, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 60-48 victory over the Estacada Rangers on Friday. The Cubs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

Newport's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Estacada, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newport will take on Molalla at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Estacada, they will face off against Ridgeview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgeview will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Estacada surely won't give up without a fight.
