Football Game Preview: Pawnee/Lincolnwood vs. Marquette Catholic

Marquette Catholic will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Pawnee/Lincolnwood at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

Things could have been worse for Marquette Catholic, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 21-40 loss to East Alton-Wood River last Saturday.

Meanwhile, if Pawnee/Lincolnwood were riding high off their 44-0 takedown of Bunker Hill/Mt. Olive two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Pawnee/Lincolnwood were completely outmatched, falling 0-46 to South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
