Softball Game Preview: Jefferson Mustangs vs. Highlands Owls

Jefferson is 0-10 against Highlands since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs will welcome the Owls at 6:00 p.m. Jefferson has given up an average of 18.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jefferson lost 20-4 to Lanier on Tuesday.

Jalynne Roque made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Davina Ramirez, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Highlands finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of Burbank by a score of 4-2. The Owls haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Highlands saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Analia Aparicio, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-18.
