Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Academy for Academic Excellence). They really took it to the Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-28 victory. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 27 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Norton Science & Language Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Erick Guzman posted ten points. Ayden Alba was another key player, putting up four points.

Academy for Academic Excellence has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Norton Science & Language Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Academy for Academic Excellence will square off against Big Bear at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Big Bear will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Academy for Academic Excellence surely won't give up without a fight. As for Norton Science & Language Academy, they will face off against Cornerstone Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
